Thoughts

Everyone has his own reasons for starting a website. I have several of them. Although I didn’t grow up with it, the medium fascinates me. My friends in various countries seem closer to me than ever. I even hope to make new friends… through this site and this medium.

Fortunately, being retired doesn’t mean losing contact with what’s going on in the music scene. Because:

• My former students keep me happy with the latest news from many countries.

• My current students keep me aware of modern ways of thinking.

• Master classes and juries still take me around the globe.

• Singing with and for my students keeps my lungs filled, and my vocal chords vibrating.

• New pursuits – such as language, speech, and declamation – are a way to avoid becoming lethargic.
